Hey, now that's pretty cool.

What tool(s) did you use to shape the Delrin on it?

Thank you very much David!

I used three files and and a vice; basically started out with a triangle file just to mark where each dip was going to be, then i used a small round file to enlarge it, and finished it with the largest round file i had. I then sanded the peaks and crests, and finally buffed it on a wheel. People told me to sand it more, but i like it how it is.
Heres a WIP (one side done):

Now Im not claiming to be some kind of master, but i liked how it came out, and if anyone is interested in this treatment, id actually be willing to do it for free to try and return something to this community. I learned so much from here, it kinda feels like i stole. I realize the trust thing might be an issue, but this site priceless to me.

Totally agree, it looks good as is. Looks sort of like carved stone to me. That's excellent. Very nice work.

Thank you, i really appreciate your comment, it means a lot.
I was actually trying to PM you but it wouldnt let me, i was going to comment on your 108OT Old Timer you posted in someones thread, not only is it a great picture with the lighting\angle, but it really brings back some memories of my childhood, that was actually my first knife, and i have been wanting on with 1095 blades so badly (or any carbon).

Here's a Khuntbuster I've had and forgot to post in this thread. This one has been dead for
a while so I thought I'd bump it up!

Very nice Jason:thumbup: You have so many, I'd love to see your collection some day---very nice!!!

Jason, thats a beautiful knife my friend. I really like the covers on it, great jigging. The Khuntbuster seems to be a well favored soddie around here and for good reason. Wish i'd appreciated this classic sooner, would certainly vote for one of these in the future for forum knife. Heck I would love to see a production company team up and produce a special edition collaboration :D

I've found that, with all the other slipjoints and lockbacks in my collection, I don't really use my sodbusters, and have no use for them to begin with. However, when I see those custom slipjoints, I just have to have one. They are high on my list. I don't understand it.

Right now, I have a Farm and Field tool, black delrin scales. I have a Case large CV soddie on the way to me in a trade. I have had maybe as many as five, not all at once, small sodbusters, all Case, all SS. I've found some at junk malls, one in a country store/subshop, a few on sale here and there. I had a large SS sodbuster, again Case. I might have had a Black Angus or Eye Brand. Never had a Queen that I know of.

I would still like a Khnutbuster though... The new sodbuster from Queen looks good, with carbon fiber scales.

I really like my GEC. The center of the pivot and the back spring are taking a nice patina now.

See, I think the Sodbusters are the most useful line of pocket knvies. Cheap, durable, sharp..... and you can throw them in that same pocket with the change and not worry about it. You can abuse it and not be out much cash. Blade is big enough for any task..... the Jr.s are small enough for most pockets and will do most tasks. I really need to go on and order me a GEC Bull Nose. The one thing my cases could really use is a lanyard hole so it would be easier to fish out of my pocket. :o

Wow!

I dyed my yellow peanut orange with Rit dye and it turned out very well. That Sodbuster dye job it much, much better though!

The black filed sodbuster is really nice and I am envious of the skill
that it took to create it.

Top Notch Guys!

Nice one Mark!

I've got its 'cousin' in yellow. These are my favourite production Busters, nice thick and rounded handles make them effortless in use.

Jason's KBuster is one of the nicest handmades I've seen, and there are many.

Thanks, Will

Thanks Buddy!
I agree about the Queens. Also the D2, IMHO, puts it way above the rest.

I also really dig what Shrapne1 did to his handles.
