Well..after watching the Fancy Nut's ;) video, I got's to get's me one.
Some folks, love knocking SOG's products, but I am just as pleased with there line up, as my Spydies Kershaws and Benchmades, they each have there own
niche, so to speak.
 
Well SOG does have good products. Maybe you don't like them all but I have that with every manufacture. I still have the Flash 2 in my pocket. IMO that's one of the best self defence knives. I can deploy it faster than my military so for self defence it's better. And SOG knives all pierce very well.
But this Aegis does have that feature also (SAT) and it's a good looking knife. Especially with that black blade and cammo. And it has a arc lock instead of a piston lock. And the arc lock is better. The piston lock will do but it's harder to close.

Only thing that I would wish if that they make one for the same price in VG-10.;) But I understand that that is to expensive but it would be nice.

Only problem with the SAT is that you have a little blade play if you want to have a fast opening knife. But I'll take a bit of blade play for extra opening speed. If I would tighten up the screw a little bit more than it doesn’t have blade play anymore but you can feel that it opens a bit slower then.

O yeah, and I forgot one thing and that's the awesome clip. Nutnfancy also says that at 7:45 and it's true. The knife slips very deep into your pocket and that makes it nearly invisible. That's outstanding. I don't want everybody to see that I carry a knife.

I really like the clip placement on there knives, discreet is the word :cool:

My first post here and Sog is my favorite brand of knives. This knife and the Tanto one i have had on order with Sog since August, your lucky to find one.
 
I just ordered the Aegis tonight. I'll reserve judgment on it till I get it, but Im hopeful.

The only other SOG I have is a Twitch II and its has a finicky pivot. But Im optimistic.

Nope. I ordered it the other day and Im out of town right now. Im heading out today. I'll see if its in my box when I get there. :)

I ended up going out of town for the weekend so my Aegis is probably sitting on my door step right now. :(
