SOG Creed or BK9

Don't own any of them two, but I like SOG Creed more than Bk, ergonomics, design, probably very functional and tough blade...

How can you tell if something is more or less ergonomic without handling either? As was pointed out above, for a large chopper the BK handle is much better. In fact, the SOG handle is used on a whole range of their knives, mostly fighters. It is not designed as a woods knife handle at all. As for toughness, the BK9 wins hands down again. The SOG has a stick tang. It does go all the way through but it is much less wide than the blade. The BK9 has a full tang. How about the actual steel toughness? 1095crovan over AUS8 any day all day. No question.

Maybe you could go into more detail as to why you think the SOG has better design and functionality. What do you see about the SOG leads you to think it is better?

Like I posted, I claimed that from looking at the knives, I feel that the handle on the BK is better designed for chopping, and then I gave my reasoning.

How about some of the same from you? I am sure we would all like to hear your reasoning!

Good conversation, but living in Duluth for some years makes me think going from Florida to Minnesota in winter the first thing I would care about is proper clothing...just saying. If you have that then great, get the Becker.
