SOG started business I believe in 1986. They began in Santa Monica CA, then they
moved to Edmonds WA. Then later to the current Lynwood WA. When you look at older SOG knives
they will often have the location on the blade and/or the sheath. Although there are many that do
not have location. So you can get an idea of he vintage from these marks.

Awesome!!! Thank u very much for clearing that up. Was very confused about that. I had a tigershark that had the logo but never knew
Treat it as you would a blued gun. Light, non-cleaning gun oil, silicon cloth, or Renaissance Wax from here: http://www.restorationproduct.com/mainproducts.html

Thank you D-1! Don't own any firearms but something my friends have been getting me out practicing (maybe Santa will surprise me this Xmas) so had never seen a blued finish on a weapon before, so thanks once again, will be picking up supplies tomorrow. Happy thanks giving lads and ladies

You are welcome. Just to clarify, it's non-cleaning gun oil or a silicon cloth or the wax. Use one of the three to protect your blued knife.
