SOG with Talon hole

hmmm, have seen others also with talon holes in the past.. I wonder what Busse's take on this is...

I saw one of these collaboration knives up close at Blade. Good looking knife. I think Jerry was going to be made aware of the talon hole design.

Old Physics bought one of these knives. I advised him to show it to Jerry and it is my understanding that he did so.

Once Jerry is made aware of these situations, it is better to let him deal with it. Any contact from Hogs with the infringers can only result in vituperation.

I'm not exactly sure what that means but it sure doesn't sound pleasant ;)

"What happened to you?"

"I was vituperated"

That definitely can not be a good thing ;)

:D:D

Had to look it up myself

vi·tu·per·a·tion - vaɪˌtupəˈreɪʃən, [vahy-too-puh-rey-shuhn, -tyoo-, vi-] –noun verbal abuse or castigation; violent denunciation or condemnation.

BUSSE Word of the day :D

LOL, had no idea i could increase my vocabulary on this forum.

I thought it was going the other way in fact --- more grunts than anything lately...

Too true! I brought it right to Garth and then to Jerry. Also gave them a business card from the Japanese maker...who I believe doesn't understand the problem. In fact, Kiku really has very little English -- he definitely did not understand what I was getting at when I pointed at the little talon hole.

You can definitely leave this to the Boss. He knows what to do.

{Disclaimer: no one was vituperatively castigated during the composition of this erudite post.}

sorry to ask....why is that an infringement? is the hole patented?

I've seen that hole being used in many knives, from native knives to modern cutlery...altho I can't seem to pick out a pic to show....

The "talon hole" is a registered trademark of Busse. Note the red text in the lower right corner:
