Looking last night (admittedly after a couple of drinks), I thought there were knives left. On count-back, maybe not.

No worries either way. If there’s one, I’ll happily try out the ghetto linen variant. If not, well, I’ve had enough rejections in my life to know I’ll survive.

Nah, not really, this sale didn't fill fast at all, comparatively speaking. But I feel your frustration, I've been there too when I've missed. Shoot me a PM if you're not quite ready to wash your hands of it and want a pointer or two.

Unfortunately, I was so ready to establish my post at 3pm on the dot, but a financial obligation threw a wrench in the plan. Hopefully Mr. Carothers will reproduce this awesome looking knife in the near future. Regards and congratulations to everyone that got one these beautiful knives, Damien.

The original announcement was that 300 of these were made, so there should still be some floating around.

Weekly sales of 25-50 knives are a lot easier to get in on than the old days of a handful being sold each week. The only complication is that when a lot of people put in placeholder posts, then edit them later to pass or claim multiples, it’s difficult to keep track of whether you’re in or out. But no system is perfect.

In general, as CPK production seems to be ramping up, the knives will become more and more available, including less of an aftermarket premium.

I posted on Friday and it is Tuesday and I have no idea with whether I bought a knife or I didn't.

It obviously has appeal for some, but for me I am better off buying on the secondary market.

I understand why you'd do this. It is virtually no overhead, and seems to generate the sort of excitement that few other methods do.

No worries. I kinda enjoy the thrill of the chase. Thanks for realizing that my post was genuine as I have a tough time communicating by written word a lot of the time.

Be fair, please. This sale was up for more than an hour, you can ask somebody to be proxy for you (https://bladeforums.com/threads/sale-proxy-requests.1564977), and CPK is a tiny shop with one person handling all the logistics, shipping, etc., and being accessible by email (consistently < 1 day response time for me). I can imagine that doing sales this way (for now) makes the logistics much easier, also leading to fair prices for us. Plus, CPK has made extra effort ramping up their website which had several knives up for sale recently.
