Hi all,
This is a project that I've been holding on to for a few years and decided it was time to finish it up. It is a hefty 8" cleaver made with CPM-3V tool steel heat treated to RC61 including LN cryo. The handle is Rosewood with an African Blackwood ferrule. There are black and white G10 spacers. The grind on this is full convex and the finish is 400 grit. Deer season is fast approaching and this will help you tackle the processing chores and even if you don't own a butcher shop this will make your kitchen chores a pleasure.
SPECS:
OAL: 355mm (14")
BLADE: 205mm (8") long, 70mm (2.7") heel height. It has been hand finished to 400grit. The grind is hybrid full convex which is down to 0.010" before sharpening.
STEEL: 3mm (0.125") CPM-3V Tool steel heat treated to RC61 including LN cryo.
HANDLE: Rosewood with African Blackwood ferrule, black and white G10 spacers.
