Up for sale is a Benchmade 940-2 with a set of DeathGrip Hummingbird scales with a matching backspacer and the original set of Black G-10 scales. Excellent condition. Exceptionally smooth action that drops open and closed. S30VN blade. Comes with the 940-2 box, papers, Benchmade pouch, and original scales and hardware. The DeathGrip scales alone sell for $180. Excellent, like-new condition. DM with any questions. Not looking for any trades. $SOLD PPFF or Zelle includes insured shipping in the US. Thanks for looking. Hey there! A friend of mine just sent me this listing - I’ve been collecting 940s (reblades and other builds/mods) and this looks right up my alley. I’m brand new to bladeforums, so I’m not yet familiar with the sales process (i.e. I literally registered because of this offer) but I have ~260 confirmed transactions on r/knife_swap and would love to grab this knife. YOLO/I’ll take it/however that works here lol

Guessing I should ignore random DMs but perhaps you can lmk how to proceed, OP? (In the meantime I’ll try to find the blade forums docs and learn on my own, but wanted to get the yolo in first).


EDIT: I’ll be available on-and-off this evening, and again tomorrow morning. My account’s DMs are set to “only people I follow” so feel free to DM me if that’s how we should proceed. I’ll check back in whenever I can, save for when wifey needs my attention.

Bit of advice that was given to me; spend the 10 bucks or whatever it is to become a member here, then you can DM members with listings you're interested in. Best of luck, sir!
 
I second that. If we try to conduct business by email, you will have no idea if it's really me or some scammer. It has happened to two of my buyers in the past year. Best insurance is to get a Gold membership and then everything is handled by private DMs.

Hey Jimmy, I believe you just DM’d me, but since it opened a separate conversation from the DM I sent you, and I’m not entirely familiar yet with how bladeforums’ UI handles dm threading, I just wanted to make sure it was in fact you that messaged me and not a copycat. (I’m pretty confident but not taking any chances, lol). Thanks again.

You can click on the user name and see his membership details.
1 - Make sure the sender has a Gold membership
2 - and check his post count against the post count shown in this thread. (The member post count updats each time the thread is accessed.)
