Hey guys! I just finished up this very cool wakizashi in a rarely seen traditional style.
This spear point style is called "Kissaki Moroha zukuri"
This one has a 14.75" blade with deep fuller and a false back edge.
The tsuba, or guard is heat colored 6al4v Titanium. Very strong and very light.
It features a tsuka ito style handle that is epoxy soaked for max durability.
The hammered copper menuki add a nice rustic contrast.

I made nice kydex sheath that snaps securely over the guard and releases with a press of your thumb.

The balance point is just 1.75" in front of the guard.

Here are the specs

OAL - 22.6"
Blade - 14.75"
Steel - CPM 3V with my high performance HT and Liquid nitrogen Cryo
Guard - Titanium
Menuki - Hammered copper
Handle - Epoxy hardened tsuka ito, durable and washable.
Sheath - Tek lok ready kydex
Price - SOLD $1650 + $25 Priority shipping, international for bit more.
Paypal, postal MO, or credit card

That looks amazing. I very rarely see traditional nihon-to in this style.

Here is very interesting write up on these less common nihon-to.

That blade will be in my dreams ......slaying orcs, zombies or annoying workmates!
Beautiful design and execution.

Looks more like a Kogarasu Maru style blade, love it, wish I have the $$$.

Kogarasu Maru is a specific sword, the name meaning little crow. Other swords can be said to be in kogarasu maru style as in they look like that historical sword.

However the kogarasu maru sword was in the kissaki moroha style.

Its like imagine if Excalibur was a real spear point sword and we knew what it looked like. One might say another sword has an “excalibur” style tip. It would be the same thing as saying the sword has a spear point tip.

The Kogarasu Maru or "Little Crow" sword is a Kissaki Moroha zukuri sword. Its a just a specific name for that specific katana.
