I finally made something like a "sharpened pry bar." The dimensions of this one are close to those of a Becker BK2, but the blade is just a bit thinner and the bevels are wider.
Steel: 5160
Heat Treat: Bos, 59 RC
Blade Length: 5 3/8"
Overall Length: 10 3/8"
Blade Thickness: .22"
Sheath: 8-9 oz cow hide partially lined, sewn with artificial sinew and waxed with Sno-Seal. Two belt loops, both of which will easily take a belt of 1 3/4" width.
Full disclosure: 1.) It has a few very light scratches on the left side of the blade. I don't know what caused them, but I unstitched the sheath and brushed out the interior with a fine brush, and then sewed it back up, so there shouldn't be anything in the sheath to cause more scratches. 2.) I noticed some discoloration on the left, at the front of the handle scale. That is where the dye from the lining leather rubbed off. I have washed it off, but it might happen again.
I am asking $115, which includes Priority shipping anywhere in the USA. Thank you for looking and please feel free to ask questions.
