SOLD - Mammoth Mini Hunter in Devon Thomas Stainless Steel Damascus

Wayne,
I can say how nice this knife looks. Because I am waiting to see what my custom knife looks like you are making me for my 50th b-day. I'm sure it will be every bit as nice. Great work on both the knife and sheath.Redwing

RW10 - Thanks buddy. You're new 50th B-Day knife will be ready by next weekend on schedule. :D

Sweet knife and I really like the background. Where did you come across that or is it something you made yourself?

Appreciate it tedwca...I like to display my knives on backgrounds that bring out the colors. This is just one I had in my arsenal in Photoshop. The knives are never touched up but I do like to play with backgrounds. Similar to what the big boy photographers do...not anywhere as well as they do...but similar process.

One and only price drop to $450.

As Joe Hoover said above, there is a lot of expensive materials in this knife and I can't go any lower. It just may have to go into the safe and wait until next spring.

I had a request to add a picture of the knife to show scale - so I added this picture of the knife on a dollar bill.
Dollar bills are exactly 6" in length and this knife is at 7".

FYI - although my Mini-Hunters are shorter than my conventional hunters by 2" (my standard hunters are normally 9" with a 4" blade and 5" handle) -
this knife with a blade of 3 3/16" will get the job done easily while offering a bit more dexterity in tighter places.
As a matter of fact, I'm starting to sell more Mini-Hunters than conventional sized hunters.
Many of the outfitters and guides that buy from me say that what they lose in size is given back in better control and less weight.

beautiful Wayne , just a beautiful piece . Love the looks of that ivory and I have always liked Devins damascus and his mokume . Shoot , the last piece of damascus I bought from Devin was $400.00 for the bar and it was not the stainless stuff .

Thanks YKW! This one just may be yours in the spring the way it's lookin'.
It amazes me. There are so many awesome knives on this forum and the economy seems to be getting to everyone.

Doesn't anyone out there have a family member that deserves this knife in a brightly colored box under their Christmas tree?

Think about it. When was the last time you gave Dad a Christmas gift he actually remembers? One that really meant something to him?
One that made him say, "No, no, no, I just have something in my eye!"

He's the one that took you fishing and hunting and camping for the first time. He may have even given you your first knife? How special did he make you feel?

I mean giving Dad (and Mom) the framed portrait of the family (again) is nice and all, but your wife really made that happen, now didn't she?

Ah heck, he'll be just as happy with another Norelco shaver....won't he?

Just askin'..
..............

BTW - Even if you don't give him a knife, let me know if I made you think about your Dad. Love him while you have him!!! The alternative sucks, trust me on that.
If you can't spend a dime on him this year, give him your time. That's the best present of all. God Bless.

.

Well I can't believe this, I should be buying a pistol with this kinda cash, but I am gonna have to have it. Paypal sent...
