SOLD OUT Second run OKT 'Brew-tal Bottle Opener/Personal Defense Item' for sale...

All Gone!!

Thank you to everyone for the interest in this little gadget. I will be adding some different styles, options, and maybe a new model that is a little more multi-toolish... I should be getting a small plate of titanium to test a few, weigh the cost vs. price options, and see if it is viable. Again, for that I may have to do it on a pre-order basis. I may have just a few available up front as testers. These I will offer up for sale on a first come first served basis. Prior customers will be notified by email a day prior to these being sold just as a little 'thank you.'

Thanks again everyone.

Eric

Here they are fresh from waterjet!
Thought it looked pretty cool.
As I post this they are tumbled and getting keyrings!!

Start watching the mail after the holiday if you ordered one!

Better than Christmas morning for me... lol.

I like this original version. If you wind up with an extra due to order cancellation or something else I would like one. Just let me know and I"ll paypal you.
Regarding the Ti version, for the same reasons stated before I wouldn't want to carry something that looks so much like a duster.
Thanks - Happy & safe 4th.

I'm excited to get mine so I will be checking the mail daily! Cool design and innovation, can't wait!

Updating everybody.

Wifey dropped the last of the padded envelopes in the mail yesterday. I underestimated how hard it would be to find keyrings for all of them. I shoulda ordered bulk I guess, but for some reason I could have sworn they were something I had seen in bulk at the hardware store. Guess not... aluminum shipping via USPS. Nearby states 2 days or so, the rest 3-5 business days. To keep shipping costs down I sent bubble mailers via usps cheapest available... No tracking unfortunately, but if it doesn't get to you within 10-12 business days (I don't think there are any other post office holidays in the near future...) I'll get your moolah back to you. We have some oddities here with the postal system, but I've yet (fingers crossed) to lose something outright.

If you ordered a keyring and extra stuff, I sent the keyring now and you'll get the additional items when they're completed. For P60 drop-ins/flashlight stuff that can mean almost a month, sorry but my supplies come from overseas... For the compass keychains, about a week or so as time allows for the other half to sew them up.

Again, thank you to everyone who purchased one. You guys are my guinea pigs. After y'all get these and feel em out, I would appreciate feedback. When the next run comes out, with whatever changes are made, previous customers get first dibs and reduced price as a thank you.

Cheers!
Eric

I'm hearing that a few have gotten there, some haven't, and some are being overly slow for some reason. If you fall into the 'Hasn't gotten here yet' category, please let me know if it hasn't arrived by Friday. The USPS has no answer for me, and had projected latest delivery date for most of them as today... Unfortunately to keep the cost down I shipped as bulk mail in padded envelopes with no tracking. If it takes more than 10 business days to get there, (which I consider generous) LMK. I'll issue a refund and take up the case with the USPS.

Thanks. Sorry if you are in the delayed category.

If you have received yours, I would appreciate feedback. Changes that could be made, options, etc for the next run....

I just got both of mine a few days ago and they are great.

Here is some of my feedback for the ones I purchased:
(For Reference - To me, the Brew-tal looks like a fish...cap lifter is the mouth, the keychain hole is the eye, and the knuckle guard is the tail or spine.)

1.) Overall, it is little large for me as I have medium glove sized hands. Thus the finger hole (slightly larger than a quarter) is big/roomy which is not too good for me.
2.) The tip of the "tail" part of the Brew-tal is lands center on my pinky bone which causes discomfort especially if I were to punch something which would be more pain than discomfort. It needs to be shorter for smaller hands such that it sits between the knuckles so grinding it down might help. Doubt I would use in a defensive role just yet...
3.) What I did in order to alleviate the previous issue (2), I reversed the grip such that I held the tail part in my hand and the brew-tal covered my first finger only. This was more comfortable and easier to use.
4.) I just can't seem to open a bottle...I can't get the lifter under the cap as there is not enough room to fit the cap into (if that made any sense). Grinding the lifter a bit to allow some clearance for the cap might fix this issue. On the one I received, the lifter ("jaw" part) is much taller than the one you had a photo of in the post.

If you want, I can upload some photos later.

For changes, perhaps (1) some information about what glove size they fit and assorted sizes. (2) Adjust the bottle cap opener to make it easier/possible to lift a cap.

So sorry i missed out on these openers, they look so sweet, and you cant beet that price! I am definitely game for one or two if you decide to do another run. It looks like these things flew out the door and interest is through the roof so i definitely hope you do another run. If you do another run, a pm or email shot my way would be greatly appreciated because i would hate to miss out again. Keep the great work going!

I'll take one if you do another run. If you don't mind PMing me when you're ready, I may take more.

I have been checking this section of the exchange everyday to see if these puppies will come back up for sale. Have just been thinking, I would love to see a pry tip/ slot head driver at the tip of the long end of this tool. I doubt you could water jet that, and if it included grinding I guess that would increase the cost. Anyway Just an idea, either way I cant wait to get my hands on one of these.
