SOLD-Practical Field model fitted with a custom G10 laminate I’ve been working on-black and grey overlaid with forest green on top, and forest green liners. I really like the way this turned out:thumbup:
This one has a fine bead blasted finish that is brushed over with Scotch Brite for a smoother surface that cleans easily and absorbs light scratches gracefully, but is still non-reflective. This finish can be maintained/touched up with the green scrubby on your kitchen sponge. My wife looked at it and said I should call it “champagne”. I have been test driving it on my own edc and I really like it.

Hello, who does your heat treat and to what hardness do you take the 3v to? Thank you.

I am using my own HT at the moment and should be at 59 HRC according to Crucible's specs. I do offer a money back guarantee if you buy it and are not satisfied with it's performance.

Hi Joe,
Yes, you can do this with any of my knives. The scratch pattern made by the Scotch Brite will be subdued but visible so you want to scrub from the base of the blade towards the tip in straight lines, being careful not to let the Scotch Brite wrap over the cutting edge. The visual effect is subtle but I was surprised how much easier the blade is to wipe clean.
 
BOBO, your question deserved a better answer, so I took a sample blade (from the same batch as this one) to a local machine shop to have it tested. The results of tests in various locations were 58, 58.5 and 59, which puts the average well within my target range according to industry standards (which require + 1 or - 1 point from target).
 
Nice combination. Anyone who once uses 3V will not go backwards again. It is also nice on folding knives that get used a lot.
Few people who do pocket knives use it. I have carried one for about 7 years and it still amazes me . If you do not buy the steel it is just something to carry.
