Description: This is Spyderco's first custom collaboration, and made approximately 30 years ago. It sports an ATS-34 blade (slightly under 3.5") and black aluminum handles. I sent this one to Zero Edge Knives for sharpening, and while it's screamingly sharp, unfortunately it ended up with a bit of a recurve near the heel of the blade, due to the fact that as originally ground, this part of the blade was extremely thick (basically unsharpened). The good news is that it is now shaving sharp. Smooth, solid lockup, and good detent. It is not perfectly centered, and it appears that the very tip of the blade actually rests on the backspacer (there's a notch in the backspacer from it hitting). There is also some lock stick.
Despite the flaws, this will make a fantastic user knife and it is a folding piece of history. It's also difficult to find, especially a plain edge model.
