I was thinking the word minus the t ÷2=4
Then 56÷2=28 (28+4=32)
That's probably all wrong but, what the heck, right?

Here's my working:
inerfere - minus the 't'
iner fere - divide it by 2
take 56 and divide that by 2 == 28
re-arrange (that's not in the riddle but you got to take initiative)
rein free 28
We know there is already a "Free Rein" so seems pretty logical to make that "Free Rein 28"

That would seem like a nice chunk of steel.
IIRC my Waki is about 28" long overall, so maybe a 20-21" blade - or if we're really lucky a 28" blade and maybe 32-32" overall.
