Hey folks.

I want to buy a knife that is first and foremost, 100% functional as a weapon.

Around 7-9" blade. I want it to be fairly light, balanced and impressive.

The closest knives I have had to this are the Carothers 8" Shiv and the Busse Team Gemini Light Brigade. Both had minor flaws in them (imo), so I have moved on.

Please, recommend me something along those lines....money is no object.

Thanks!

EDIT: MUST BE SINGLE EDGED!!!

If you can find one, a Dark Timber Honey Badger would fit the bill. And good thing money is no object, because they usually go for $800 - $900 on the secondary market...

I would have Salem Straub make me a custom 9" Bowie with one of those crazy insane gorgeous double or triple damascus patterns.

Or go in the other direction, financially, and get a Cold Steel OSS subhilt fighter. Sharpen the top edge if you need that. The grip is excellent. It is my hog knife.

Many good options above but if I were here I would be looking into this guy making me a custom - http://islandblacksmith.ca/product-category/fusion-knives/

Watch his work videos - follow the links. These are as good as it gets to my way of thinking - BUT BUT BUT - no insult to Salem or Charlie Mike or others - "as good as it gets" can be got there by many outstanding knife makers.

I am taken in by Dave's work - is all I'm sayin'
