I would recommend CAS Knives, NicK Wheeler.

If money was no issue I would unleash them on an epic Bowie build and let them do what they do best.

If money is not an issue, why not go on a semi-mythical journey into Japan while tracking down one of the last surviving Japanese sword maker masters from pre-World War II? I heard they go between $10,000 to $20,000 to create and they can do it specifically what you want.

I wont be able to give names because none of them go on the internet.

For Japanese influenced - I think Ben Tendick has been mentioned (of whose knives I am very fond). Other makers that I really like include Matt Gregory, David Mirabile, Dan Keffeler, Stuart Branson, and Burt Foster.
If price is really no object, you might talk to our friend Bob, about a Warenski!:D Mike

The above sounds fun. In addition, if you want an authentic traditional Japanese blade made by a Japanese national treasure, look into Yoshindo Yoshihara. Mike

I will also vouch for Keffeler. This is my Mon-Thurs knife.
