Some advice needed please

Frazer B has numerous times insulted the citizens and the culture of the United States of America. His comments are carefully couched as backwards insults. His somtimes polite tone belies the content of his words. See him for what he is.

On this forum people get banned for making remarks that are negative and related to ethnicity, race or country of origin.

Ban him for insulting the United States of America and its culture. He'd have been banned by now if the comments were made by a US citizen about the British, Itialians, Africans, etc.

brownstain accusing someone of being insulting and and displaying negativity ?

Nothing like the pot calling the kettle black ! :D

I realiize that Frazer did make some comments that are a bit insulting, but to classify them as bad enough to get him banned? I don't think so. I have seen much worse from people that are still around.

Mr Gigone, I appreciate your keeping me humble. However, I don't believe I've insulted someone's country of origin, nor do I twist their screen name into insults. I didn't accuse Frazer of being negative, I think his beef was legitimate. I have spent a lot of time with people, not of the USA, who use Frazer's method to insult the culture of the United States of America in "polite" conversation.

I am only posting this as a defence to Brownshoe's accusations. I have no interest in continuing this thread. This in no way is meant as an insult. (hence my lack of sarcasm!)

Brownshoe,

I would like to set up a good European based custom knife dealer, i do not see how this is Anti-US.

I may have been rude expressing myself and for that i apologise.

Best regards

FrazerB

If you walk up to a fat person and tell them all about how fat they are does that mean you're not being insulting just because you happen to be telling them the truth?

As for the knife, while most people consider a refund to be adequate I would respectfully disagree, unless that refund covers the return shipping and the duties or customs fees he had to pay on it.

Assuming that Frazer B's description of events was accurate, this was not a case of buyer's remorse, it was an error by the dealer. Like he said, if the knife looked good in the pics on the website and subsequently arrived damaged without the missing chip and it was not opened by customs, logic would dictate that it was damaged by the dealer or someone in their employ. Granted there are a lot of assumptions there, but if that happened to me I'd be angry as well.

Best of luck getting the knife repaired.
