This is Teferi, he's an undetermined breed, confounding to even our vet. (though he thinks he might have a good helping of Chow in the gene pool, but no purple tongue and a little small.) He showed up in our yard about 3 or 4 aprils ago, he slept in our yard every night for two weeks. About that time, we got the memo that he'd adopted us, he's been our dog ever since. He's a heck of a guard dog and a real ham; loves people and attention.

Here he is just chillin' at home.

Here, he's "guarding" our gear while we set up camp.

I've had quite a few dogs in my day, but Tef is hands down the smartest dog I've ever met. Like comprehends English smart, Now him choosing to obey. that's another story.

Chow? Hmm...

The first breed I thought of when I saw his pics was a Finnish Spitz.

That's what me & Mrs. Pointy have secretly been thinking the whole time. That description fits Tef to a tee, but I've been loath to defy the knowledge of our vet.

My guess would be he's a Finnish Spitz and Irish Setter mix.
