ok I will make this very clear right now. Though you may not mean this (although it is VERY hard to tell) in the way that it is read, I do not appreciate it. I have no intentions to "do it". Screw what my body would say. It is NO. period. end of story. Please dont assume that I would do that. I am waiting till marrige. Sry if this comes off as harsh, but oh well. this goes for the rest of you guys that have commented. i should have said this earlier anyway. oh well, now ya know.

Dave, and everyone else, I asked today, well technically. I made it clear that I was trying to ask her out (well technically lol), but at the same time i made it clear that it was to just talk and hang out, have some fun.

she was open to it, but she is busy the rest of this week (school crap). she told me that we will figure something out the next time we talk (i was at work when i talked to her. hey, i was on break! i work in the school "dinning hall" anyway). Dunno about you guys, but I take that as a "yes" and a success for me :D :D

Sounds like cause to celebrate. WAHOO!!!:D

BTW I am sure all of the off color comments were meant in jest (I know mine were). You know how it is, idle man chatter, false bravado and such. Way to go on sticking to your guns though. Knowing what you want is half the battle.

TIA guys. I would put this in the community forum, but I the people on here I know best "reside" on the Kershaw forum (Mike, OE, Spiral, KD, SPX, Thomas, Jeremy ect. ect.). Thus I put it here.

oh yeah, one last point, this one towards BF in general. It is threads like this one, which i know i will have responses too, that show just how much i love this group. This site is really the first internet community that I have been apart of. You all have accepted me and we have grown as friends. I look back and can't believe that it has been a year sense I joined. I feel like I have known you guys and been talking knives with you all for years. So I trust you guys alot. Just a big thanks to Spark, and everyone else for the "family" amtosphere.

Uh, wrong forum guys?

i put this thread in the Kershaw one because, as i said in the first post, i trust you guys. i dont really trust the other guys who frequent the other forums.

i know that you guys (spiral, spx, mike, ect the people i know enough to know that they a crazy lol) were just being nutty. i will however defend what i believe.

anyway, Tim, lock her down. I think it might be time. I thank you for your patience.

need I say more?

alright guys, this thread is done as far as i am concerned. i thank you all for your help and advice. it definatly helped.

Congratulations offset! The extra time will give you some planning time and a chance to come up with a little more cash.

I applaud your decision to remain abstinent until marriage. It takes a LOT of guts to do what you are doing. It is also about the only 100% way to avoid STD's and HIV/AIDS!:thumbup::thumbup:

Well said cutter.

Congrats OL. Have a great time. Best of luck Bro.
Just remember, you're a great guy so just be yourself.

OL, I totally understand the kind of person you are . You are the kind of guy I would want my daughter to date. You are some one that would respect her and her wishes. You also need to realize that you are a minority in that most guys your age don't respect women, all they think about is what they can get from a relationship. Hold on tightly to your values , while being patient with others that don't understand those values. Most guys are never taught to respect women or anyone else for that matter, it is one of the largest problems we have in our society today. Pm me anytime and I would be honored to give you advice in relationship. I have been married to my best friend for 35 years and I thank God for her everyday, I wish you the same.

Dave

well i hate to say it guys, but i talked to her a lil bit after the fact, and she told me that, though she doesn't mind hanging out, she doesn't date a guy unless she knows him really really well. Yeah, i am bummed, but i understand the reason, and cant blame her in the least. we are both freshmen at my school, so there is plenty of time. we will just have to hang out on campus or in a group of our friends, which is fine with me. at least i asked. thats a step in the right direction for sure i would think.

@dave: thanks for the kind words. that means alot to me. right now, i am just going to be a friend and do my best to ignore the upcoming week. which will be hard as usual.
