Regardless, I'm happy to see hype forming already about several of these. And there's still some cool ZT stuff headed your way that nobody knows about yet. :D
of course nobody! On BF. Uhm, one guy who was banned posting everywhere but here.

DO I SEE a smaller ZT 560? What might that be below the 560? MAN I hope that is legit, I am pre-ordering now, where do I do that? LOL! Seriously, I need 5 of those real soon.

Seriously? This is why we can't have nice things, anywhere. Some schmuck has to ruin it for the people who aren't schmucks.

He was talking about Thomas W.

Mr. Je5u5cryon5aturday took info and photos from another forum where it was explicitly asked to not be spread around, and posted them here anyway like a schmuck. He says "banned guy" likely because if he actually gave the circumstance of his posting of those photos, he wouldn't look as cool. Again, this is why we can't have nice things here on this forum. People like Je5u5cryon5aturday are the reason why no preview information comes here.

He probably works for Microtech, I hear they are looking for new design ideas.

Every time I think we've got even the smallest chance of getting Thomas back, someone goes and does something like this.

Guys, can someone please enlighten me on this whole deal with Thomas not being on here, just the cliff notes will suffice? When I first started viewing this forum he was on here regularly and even responded to some of my ?. I guess I would call it the politics of this board that I am not understanding. I have always carried knives but haven't collected any until I found this forum, specifically the ZT forum. Now ZT is all I will buy, well maybe a spydie or two, but regardless of that I understand the need to keep stuff secret until your ready to release it but what does that have to do with Thomas and him not being here?

THanks

I've handled the prototype of the dimension. It was really nice! I wish it was US made and titanium but s30v or Sandvik.

i'm not even registered on that forum where he posted pics. i've just visited it by another search on google. But anyway link of this pics (on photobucket, i mean) are open to everyone - i hadn't copied pics as files, just their links - you can check it by yourself. You even dont need to be registered to get to that thread. Sorry for my low language skills :-)

whatever.

Doesn't change the fact that Thomas clearly posted "Let's keep these here please" with every single picture.

Nice to see that some of these prototypes say stonewashed instead of beadblasted.

+1 on wishing for a smaller 560.

whatever.

Linking to others pictures that are hosted on their dime is theft of bandwidth, assuming you don't have permission to do so.

Just to clarify for you.

I wish for a US made Swerve with a DLC S30V blade and tan G10 scales. That design looks like it really would have been at home on the ZT line spec'd as such.

I'm not liking the shiney metal route the ZT line is headed. ZT is reknown for hard use tactical knives and models like the one above and the 0888 just look a bit too flashy. That's not to say I don't think they have a place in Kershaw's line up, but I just think KAI should avoid watering down the reputation of Zero Tolerance with blades so focused on being flashy. Maybe it's just my dislike of engraved metal grip scales though.

Just the opinions of a worthless noob, but huge KAI fan.

I can't say I disagree with you, but on the other hand I am happy to see more high quality, cutting edge (heh) US made knives. It does seem that ZT is shifting from a hard use, tactical knife company to more of KAI's premium product division. We'll see what else is in store from ZT this year :)

In June 2012 Thomas W said: "I think you'll see a combination of street and field going forward. Field being overbuilt, street long, fast, and light. We'll find some balance. We're seemingly in street mode currently. I'd put all 3 of the new Blade pieces in that category."

I think the ZT umbrella is big enough for both street and field. I'm glad that it is. I prefer a street folder and a field fixed myself. Sounds like if you wait awhile there will be more field. Or possibly, the street ZTs are selling better than the field ZTs.
