Some knives that I have made in past

Glad to hear you like them. The boats and such were really interesting challenge that came my way quite some time ago. Had a bit of fun figuring them out. I would not have started to make something like that completely out of the blue.

After kind of long silence once again here is an other of my (more recent) works. Bit more on the bear motif on the leather once again.

Hello, all.

So I've started to be a bit more active for a while again. I had some time to play around on some new design on the sheath, making it to look like a spear tip. The idea came from old archaeological findings from nearby areas. Thought to share it with all of you too.

Here is one of my most recent blade on the animal themes puukkos that I made for order.

As usual the blade is hand forged from Böhler K990 with length of about 4.8 inches (12 cm). The hidden tang handle is made from ash with brass bolster and leather liner. I used two different toned varnish on the handle, the "belly" and "back" is with black and "sides" with brown followed by three layers of lacquer. Even thou the handle has quite visible texture is it quite comfortable in hand. The sheath is wet formed leather.
