What do you guys think is going on there? I’ve wondered about that myself. Do you guys think it’s dealers or flippers with some sort of nefarious app or program buying them up before us “normal folks” can?
 
The flippers follow the boards and social media, they know what’s hot and where to get it. There is a lot of money to be made, so having the best internet connection is part of the process. Bots and human agents are used.

I've been in a lengthy dialog earlier today with one of the well known and respected folks on this site about how to make things more fair for the folks who are interested in their work but can't ever seem to get their hands on them. And they've agreed with me and we're going to give it a spin in the very near future. (And that's all I can say about it at the moment...other than I think it has potential to alleviate a problem which has gone for quite a while.)

I hope part of the solution is heavily armed Blackhawk helicopters.
 
The flippers always snag the Ti models first, I grabbed a G10 version (purple) right at 9am and all but the G10 brown version had sold by the time I had checked out. Good luck with your search!
 
I have seen a few of the AD-20i clip-points show-up at dealers.

They do sell-out fairly quick though.

I will get one, when I find one in a color I like.

One more thing in case others weren't aware of it:

The Ad-20i only has the blade made in Italy, according to the information on a dealer website.

The rest of it is USA-Made.

its a beefy handle thickness and feel. all in all usual Demkos perfect fit and finish everyone's used to. I dig on it...haven't used it yet, but I expect be a great daily user......

Have you guys been watching the videos from Demko? It's no wonder prices are high! After seeing the amount of work it takes to make each knife...I have a new respect for pricing! I watched the video about how the Shark Lock is made and other than cutting the shape with wire EDM, it's all hand grinding, buffing, wire brushing, etc...for each and every piece! Here is the latest video...check them all out at Demko's Youtube Channel!
