Some new stuff...

Can't wait for the OPM! Since the first day I discovered the joys of RATs, I've wished for one, and I guess that wish is gonna' come true!

Woo Hoo RTAK!!!!!!

Jeff, just a suggestion: For the RTAK, maybe use a kydex sheath with holes spaced for a large Tek Lok like the other sheaths have, and a little kit of spacers and bolts such that one of the smaller knives can piggyback on the RTAK (or sell such a piggyback kit separately. Maybe add a shoulder strap (Tony was kidding, I'm not) for using the sheath in a baldric setup? It'd make the RTAK and especially a piggyback setup easy to carry. I find I hardly feel the weight of a big knife when carried on a baldric.

Yea, good idea......Make the knife into a purse.:D

New model variations sounds good to me. More Rats to use, but please no more cheesey plastic sheaths. The kydex RC4 setup scaled for the RC6 would be a step up to better quality befitting the 6. I also like the sheath which comes with the RC5.

Well, if'n you're going to carry a pink knife, you might as well carry it in a purse. . .;)

Baldric carry is awesome.

No...Yea, it's great.

In the mean time, I'm trying to convert my hatchet and shovel into a set of high heels.

Just joking, I carry my hatchet on a baldric alot of the time, it's a great way to pack some extra cordage and a larger item comfortably.

RTAK ... chopper ... from RAT ..

Alright, I need to stop reading this subforum.

Cheesy plastic sheaths? You wouldn't be saying that if you had to make the molds! :D :D

You guys crack me up. :D

You need a 10"+ chopper in that lineup. No need to include a sheath and drive the price up though. ;)

The RTAK style blade is about what you asked for, no? Without the cheesy sheath of course :D

Kinda. Widen the blade up a bit, make a more pronounced finger guard, add a choil, and get rid of that little dip at the end of the blade. :D

And yeah, no cheesy sheaths. I might eat them. ;)

In all honesty, RAT's (RC-6) molded sheaths are very good. Very little rattle and secure retention. I just prefer kydex and the ability to design it how I like. Molds are expensive, or so I'm told, so if it cuts down on the up front cost and speeds it along to production, I'm all for it.

I woud love an RC6 with a sharpened back clip, If the clip is done right. I.E. 3.5-4" long and slightly convexed. That I would buy.
