It's a slightly different blade. The curve of the edge is adapted to the shorter radius of the handle. It's also only 40cm. You could make one using a standard bush blade if you wished, but the blade on this is light to reflect the lesser leverage you have available to you--American long handled grass hooks were similarly light and thin. Also, it's so inexpensive that it'd cost the same or less to buy one of these vs. cobbling together a vintage blade. Between the exchange rate and their efficient production method it's kind of insane how affordable their products are. Funny enough, I was already a fan of their blades before I discovered how inexpensive they are. The extremely low cost is just a bonus.
