Been waiting on these knives for a while!!!! Didn't have any examples in my SAK ALOX collection.

1) A Red Pioneer Rancher Ad knife with a rancher/pruner blade in place of the can opener!

2) An enigma....a Soldier, with Victorinox style solid rivet construction but a '97 dated Wenger SI blade!

3) A nice solid Vic KL 92 DAK! (Dutch Army Knife)

The 4th ALOX is a well used, old cross Red Pioneer that's currently soaking it's dirty old bones in some very hot water.

I also got a still sound, but well used, Victorinox GAK as well in the purchase.

NICE SAK Guy!!! I've recently acquired a couple of new (to me) ALOX. Very addicting they are :D

#1 is a pretty amazing. The others are quite nice too. But I definitely like that red Pioneer.

Nice haul. Those are all really nice scores. I went a little alox crazy last year and know how addicting they can be. Must resist urge to surf web....;)

Those are really neat finds! Alox has apparently become my latest addiction, as well. I have 4 more inbound from the auction site.

I'm really liking that red Pioneer Rancher with the pruner blade! Nice haul

Thank you Duane! It seems to be the hands down fav (almost).

I'm intrigued by the Soldier. It might be a Vic factory repair because it has some (newer gen) polished tools. This might explain the solid rear rivet (instead the correct hollow rivet). The alt explanation is that the wrong company's blade was put on the knife...that's a stretch since Wenger wasn't acquired by Vic till '05 (the blade is marked '97) so they were still rivals at the time. The 3rd explanation might be that it's a recent, end of production run using a old stock Wenger blade and newer Vic (polished) Pioneer tools. Kinda hard to believe that Vic would do that.

I would think they would keep parts for repairs  Maybe a possible after market job? I look forward to seeing the GAK :D
Those are cool!
