Some Pics from Blade Show 2010

WTF I guess we didnt meeet lol

Sorry bro! Told you the show was a lot for me to process! Yes we did didn't we! Sitting beside you and across from Dylan makes you two the "bad-influences" that had me drinking beers by the time I got to the pit lol....well that and then Rick buying them for me :D

It was great to get to meet you Brian.

Sorry we couldn't spend more time shooting the poo, we were bumping in the booth all weekend. Still trying to catch up on a bit of sleep. We weren't in bed before 2am a single night and were up and running by 7 every morning.

Truely a fantastic group of people, it was more like a family reunion than a trade show for me.

It was great meeting you too bro. I know trust me watching you and Katie working your @$$es off like that made me tired just watching lol. It was great, I hope we get to do it all over again next year!

Yeah, I have a feeling quite a few of us were roaming. Rick was the smart one and carried around a WSS Patch. I think next year we all get headlamps from Going Gear and turn them on to the strobe mode:D

ROCK6

I definitely have to get one of those by next year...and put my RAT Pack patch on my pack too.

Heh heh. Yep, he got himself a $10 katana from the Frost "bucket o' swords". For watermelons and stuff. Had all the teenagers over after church Sunday night and he brought it out to show 'em all.

Blade is a great family thing for us. The kids all love it and all the vendors are very good to them. Where else would you run into folks who are happy to let your kids hold a $1000 razor-sharp knife they'd made, with just a "be careful", or hand a 7-yo girl a scrimshawn ostrich egg?

Lol, I remember because he had me really nervous for a minute when he was re-sheathing it.

I just wanted everyone to read that again.:p

WTF Rock...do you not think his head is swelled enough already :p

Thanks for great shots with nice story, Brian.
Shame I cannot join.

It was great Fujita, I wish you could have been there !

G'day Brian

Were there many new models/designs that got their first showing at Blade?

Kind regards
Mick

There were many new models there Mick...more than I can even recall all of. Some I'm really looking forward to seeing later.

A lot of the stuff actually makes its first appearance at SHOT in January, since that is a much larger show and is geared more toward dealers and wholesalers. Some new stuff does pop up at Blade though.

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. It's not as good as I intended to do when I headed out but I was really busy talking a lot of the time...

Nice view, I regret not running across your booth. Hopefully I'll find it next year.

My blade show journey was very entertaining. I left at 9pm in South Carolina to drive all night. Normally it takes about 6 hours but I took all back roads to look for snakes and amphibians on the perfect night.

I caught and saw 10 snakes, including this DOR (dead on road) mud snake, a cottonmouth, a bunch of red bellied water snakes, and a corn snake.

I also had a chance to help a fellow out and un stick his car using my recovery straps

Same deal as Brian. Knew they weren't going to win, but it was still cool to see them in there.

Thanks for helping me live vicariously through pictures. I didn't get to see much other than the booths I could see from my booth.

Awesome pics Joe! Thanks for posting some things I missed. I found it impossible to see everything even in three days...h#ll, it took me all day Friday to find Andy's table. I saw those knives in the case too, that Parang feels really good in the hand. Nice pack! How many beers will it hold :) . The guys from Habilis were great fun to talk to
