Some Pics Of The New Hunter

thanks for the great photos!

I am considering getting one of the 2 knives for EDC. What do you recomend? I have big hands but like 4" +/- knives. thanks!

If you are talking about the Bushfinger or the Hunter my Bushfinger has a smaller handle than standard, I think the Bushfinger would likely make a better edc than the Hunter, unless you live in a wooded or rural area, but I actually edc the Hiking Buddy which works out better for my area, and still gives me plenty of cutting tool for most chores I'll need to do even in the bush. Now, if I still lived one county to the west where it was a more rural area the Hunter would live on my belt.

Well...just sealed the relationship between myself and the hunter. Great job on the tip Andy!! :D

Hi Mist,

Very nice pic's of the Hunter. I scored the burlap Hunter that is in Andy's photo's, the one just below your knife. It got me thinkin, I bend a little leather as a hobby of mine. I've made some deerskin lined foldover sheaths for some Off the Map terrasuar's and bushcrafter's that I have. I saw some of Paul Long's work and tried to emmulate it. Nowhere near his skills but I find it very fun and therapudic. I plan on making one for my hunter when it arrives in the mail (hopefully soon :) ) I got some extra leather and mine looks to be the same size as yours so I'd like to make one for you as well, free of charge. I'd just like your opinion on it as from what I read you are a very knowledgeable fellow. If I could figure out how to post photos I would but I'll be the first to admit I'm not really computer savy at all. I'm going to guess and say your right handed? I use 10oz leather and the top of the sheath would cover the bolsters. I hand drill and sadlle stitch them with artificial sinew and dip them in beeswax to give it a little form fit for security. If your interested shoot me an email at anthonyc@bbfl.us It would probably take me a month or so to complete between work and everything else but I wouldn't mind at all if you'd like. Thanks

Got the sheath, very nicely done! I'll post some pics later.

I love that knife. Never held one or seen one but it looks like a knife I'd like to have.

If you have large(ish) hands the Hunter is the best choice in my opinion. It is by far the most comforable knife that I own.

Hey Brian, Glad to see you got the sheath and I'm looking forward to the pic's and your thoughts.

Rainy lately so not much luck on pics yet, but i'm having some good thoughts. I like the way the knife snaps into place now after a little use.

It's extremely comfortable and easy to control.
