Some price increases are inevitable

You can kinda tell by the way he posted it that Nathan was doing something he didn’t want to, but realize too that no one around here is leaving CPK because of it! The product you sell is second to none and as such demands a price that reflects the quality of material and workmanship put into it. Never apologize for fair prices even if they are higher than you’d like.

Doubling this increase would be more than reasonable in my mind. I consider everything I've ever gotten from CPK to be a bargain. By all means, put away a little more dough for those new machine thingys you mentioned.

This for only $150? Come on now! So good I bought a second one for my Mom!

I've been thinking I should make another vegetable knife

Do it. Magnacut. My wife literally beats the hell out of an SG2 chef's knife we have. Larrin's specs imply that Magnacut will hold an edge like SG2, which is just fine for our kitchen. Wife loves that SG2. However, Magnacut looks to be far less chippy than SG2 so I won't have to fix the tip or re-profile it every so often.

At least I know what I’m getting with a CPK, no doubt some will be put off from a price increase, I just hope they don’t have to change a water heater in the near future. Talk about a price increase, those things have gone up almost 40%. So, an unanticipated price increase to keep CPK in business is not unreasonable at all. I’ll do my part to keep them in business even though I haven’t bought one in a while. I just am not savvy enough to score one on the Friday sales.

They sure have, there was a short period almost a year ago we couldn’t even get a water heater on order from any vendors, but Home Depot had stock 🤣

Ooooh, you're a real stinker! I'm hoping you step on a lego soon. 😄

More of the same ones you made before would be fine, IMO. Mine is the most used knife I own. There is really nothing I would change.

I had two of them at one time, but I gave one away as a wedding present to my niece and her groom, who was a knife knut. She was killed in an auto crash 20 months later and her widower removed all traces of her from his life and cut off all contact with her family (e.g., me). He ditched us, but he kept the knife. That shouldn't bother me . . . Anyway, her brother is prolly going to get married next year, and I would like to give one to him and his bride if/when he marries.

My wife will be a great one to test out the durability and edge stability. She will for sure drop it in our steel sink, toss pots, pans and lids in with it, it will get jammed into the dishwasher, jammed into the dish drainer after a hand wash, the edge will get dragged against other silverware, chopped into avocado pits regularly and she couldn’t care less about anyone else’s feelings toward it, especially the weirdos in this forum that treat it like it was forged by a virgin out of 24k gold. 😂🍻

This is why I have a very expensive knife collection but don’t have a nice kitchen knife!

Yet.
