As others have said, thank you for being open about your rising costs and price increases. I'm sure your loyal customers understand, and new ones will continue to be attracted to the performance and quality of your knives, along with excellent service.
One sure way to lose customers is to lower your quality, which one of your competitors has done with crappy finishes and mediocre edges. Who wants to pay $200-$500 or more for a knife, and the first thing you need to do is sharpen it before you can use it. Keep your quality high and prices reasonable, and your existing customers will keep buying and so will new ones. Keep up the good work!
Thinking about finishes, I was surprised and happy to open my BFK package and find the satin finish – it looks nice!
