Some really bad news

Positive thoughts are good to have. Tell Stan that his Texas girl friend Molly has her paws crossed for him!

Sorry to here about Stan Ian!!! Most of us who have love animals what ever breed they are, have had to face this one. Smoke and Prayers sent Bro for you and to Stan.

I'm very sorry to hear about Stan the Man. I hope he pulls through, he seems to be an exceptional dog.

Thanks again everyone.
He’s at the vets as I’m typing this; I’m not sure how long it will take to get the results back from the laboratory.

He was in good spirits this morning, though looking into his mouth as we were loading him into the back of the wagon didn’t show any signs of improvement.
We can only hope that he can tough it out as he is a pretty tough customer.
Here’s hoping,
Ian.

Ian - I hope and pray for the best for Stan, as well as you and your wife. You and Stan are both top-notch!;) Tom

An update

Stan has been home for about 12 hours now he still seems groggy from the operation, and the prognosis is not good.

The vet has sent two samples off to the lab for testing, but he has said he had a gut feeling that the results won’t be good.

He has debulked what have appeared to be two tumors, one that he said was starting to impede on his breathing. A specimen from the two places has been sent away for testing.

He won’t operate even if it is benign as he feels he would need to remove his lower jaw.

Still, I intend to seek a specialist in Sydney that has a great record in difficult surgery if that were the case.

He is getting some special treatment as his doona is on the floor inside the house in the air-conditioning. He is only venturing out for the necessaries and for food and water.

I won’t know the results of the lab tests until late in the week, but, I’ll keep you all informed.

Thanks,Ian.
