Some SAK love

I'd previously been cool on the Pioneer Cadet because of its key ring, which pokes me when I use the main blade -- to the point where I filed it off of my old one. But this cheery aqua blue one demanded an equally cheerful fob. :D

I think my Huntsman is currently stashed in a backpack, but apart from that one and my Cybertool S (which just doesn't feel traditional), these are all of my traditional SAKs: Electrician, Pioneer Cadet, Rambler. :)

I wish I'd bought an anodized version of the Electrician, because that one is five years old and has seen plenty of action...but it still looks new! Alox is tough stuff, and the silver version hides wear so well. I'm looking forward to watching the blue Pioneer's scales wear over the years.

I also have that book and really enjoy it. It’s been a big help on my foraging adventures. The only problem is, now you’ll need a pioneer pruner to help you cut all those herbs.
It's a great book for sure, but I usually forget to bring it with me on my trips out to the hills so can't say I've got the same use out if it as you have. I can say though, I've got a Harvester and have collected more than a few tomatoes with its little hawk-bill.
