Sorry folks if I'm recommending something that's already been done, but how about a Dragonfly2 in an ultra tough REX steel?

I wouldn't mind rocking a Dfly2 with REX121 Teeth.

I would like to know if Sal if looking at this thread and what he thinks about some of the ideas presented here

Probably thinking "yeah... we already thought of all of these, nice try amateurs." ;)

Seriously though, I think I read Michael Janich say that at any one time, they have something like 100 different designs that are in different stages of development at Spyderco. So there is a pretty good chance that if we've thought it, so have they!

I love that spyderco ventures into many unknown territories and is not afraid to be creative with different steels and shapes. That's why they are my favorite company and I have so many of their awesome knives. :)

It's a Michael Walker because of the liner lock... I have the CF one and it is perfect except for the clip.. (even got a spare :D)

Not requesting a RIL, the liner lock is just fine (as it should be). The original Klötzli model is a work of art. I should have said just titanium scales.

The sprint in CF and ZDP-189 is also quite good, but had some quality control issues with chipping/splintering in the CF scales. Still, I love the design and also have a couple —*the C22 is one of my favorite Spyderco models.

While we're dreaming, let's throw in a deep-carry wire-clip that that of the Chaparral.

I seem to remember seeing an early Prototype Ocelot with a Compression lock. I wish Sal would chime in on that one.

The Ocelot with a compression lock and G-10 scales w/o "paw prints". In my opinion those design changes would yield a very useful pocket hunter.

Hi Shepard,

I've been watching the thread. Some interesting stuff. Much just can't be done because of a variety of reasons, eg; models made in Japan are best made with Japanese steels, some steels are questionable in their performance like Rex, Oceleot design was given back to Tim Wegner, etc. I don't have the time to respond to each post, but we do look at those possible to do.

Completely understand that. Businesses are so much more complicated than they seem to be. Even little things are big things. Luke the steel comment.

You do amazing things over there. Thank you. Thank you for so many steel choices. Thank you for all the different blade shapes.

Hey sir,
Any chance of a flat-saber Pm2 or Millie (preferably, combo-edge)?
(Stronger tip, like the move to a flat saber gen 4 Endura, for we who value that...?) :)

I know you can't reply to everything, but it's good to know you're watching over us...

All I really want an PM2 sprint with CPM-M4. Maybe with those fluted CF scales? Or maybe titanium compression frame lock. You know, just simple things.

I know this is way out in left field and not really a sprint idea but, How about a mini (not PM2) version of the Military, same clip/lock/construction in VG10, at about an inch shorter than the standard version. The Seki blade would be shipped to Golden for the final USA assembly. Price would be about $100.00. Tell me that wouldn't be cool.
