C42 Viele Sprint. Damasteel blade (VG-10 damascus is fine as well) and antique ivory linen micarta scales. It needs an improved liner lock since the original ones wore out fast (at least mine have)

Interesting idea.
There were some lock issues on earlier runs with AUS8 steel. Later runs with open back and VG10 blades the lock was improved.
Back to C42, I will not be able to resist antique ivory micarta scales (linen or paper), but damasteel or any Damascus can make things more complicated. Patterns are very different. So I would keep the blade plain satin VG10. At least no surprises there.

VG10 would be fine with me

Carbon steel might look nice as a contrast to light scales. Not sure what Japanese steel would be best.
