God I want it so bad. But I do not need another folder. I have so many I do not use the ones I have entirely. And I do buy my knives to use.

I just think it is such a sexy looking blade. I think I have a disease.
 
haha. I eye that KW contego once a while. My only hold-up is the M390 steel. I like CPM-M4 too much. If the orig m4 Contego didn't exist I probably would have bought the KW exclusive already.

plus I already have another blade in M390.

(Sorry - that's all I've got...I'm more of an enabler/encourager than a voice of "reason". If you want it, buy it. Hell, if you can afford it, buy two in case you get one dirty)

The 810 (both versions) are my favorite currently in production, production knife made by Benchmade so my advice is to give in and get it while you still can.

Never know when the run will end so I say get it while the getting is good because if you don't you'll regret it and then what will you do?

It's not very comfortable in the hand for use. Maybe if you have gloves on, but I don't wear gloves.
 
Sorry cant help you either. I love my Contego (regular model), and the only thing that I would change is the coated blade. So the one you want is the total package (to me). Go for it. Also, I am not sure if it has been toned down or what, but the handle is not uncomfortable to me. I could see where maybe it could be if you were doing prolonged heavy duty cutting, but not for normal everyday use.
 
I really want an 810 and am waiting on a seller with great price to get more in stock so I bought a rift off the exchange in the meantime. I guess waiting didn't save me anything.
 
I got one yesterday. I needed it like I need a hole in the head. Saying that I'm glad I got it. Beefy old girl and looks good
