As far as you know, those knives you "love" so much, that you don't even have yet, weren't heat treated properly, have decarburized edges, imperfections in the blade materials that will lead to immediate failure upon real use, handle scales that weren't properly attached, and are completely useless pieces of crap.
You won't know different until you put them to the test.

I got my 5 and my manix 2s in this morning. As soon as I opened the package on the 5 I went out and lodged it into a tree. Good for me, right?


Nope. I immediately went in and cleaned it off, then touched up the edge.
