It's the holidays. It's a time of abundance. It's a time of giving, and also a time for me of reducing excess. I've culled my collection recently and kept only a small rotation of users, because I want the space and resources in my life for something else now.
I like to study and contemplate words, and I have studied the word "deserve" in a particularly literal way. If we separate the word from its prefix, we get de-serve. So, to deserve something in this sense, means to take something; or to receive it.
I am giving away a brand new Enzo Necker 70 to someone who deserves it. This is a small EDC style fixed blade/patch knife that is capable of doing some serious outdoor cutting.
This knife is new, comes with a nice leather sheath, is made from 12C27 steel, which is described as a stainless steel that acts like carbon. Sharpens easy, is tough, takes a keen edge, but won't rust on you. The knife is very comfortable in hand.
Let's let this run to Friday, Dec. 22, at 6:00pm EST. That way I can ship it Saturday morning before I leave town.
No rules. No hard feelings if you get it and decided to sell it - once it is yours, it's yours. Whatever you do, do it with gratitude and grace. Simply post in this thread if you have desire to receive it, or if you know someone who might, and let the one who deserves it win!
