My email to him.
Ok. Not sure if you got busy or what. But this isn't how you sell things. I've been selling for over 20 years and NEVER let someone go more than 12 hours without a response. When I sold knives, I made sure I had them shipped out the next day. You have to keep people in the loop. This is my first buy on any of the forums in about 9 years because of getting screwed over by 2 knifemakers. Leave it to me to get taken. I'll make sure to spread your name around, Instagram, USN Bladeforums among others. So. think on that and please don't make me get the law involved.

Your post is kinda sparse on details, ie when you made payment, by what method, how long without a response, etc. Did you get Super Mods involved yet? That would be an important part of the process here.

Your Email address still remains.

Removed the reproduction of the member's email address. Folks...don't do this. Just report what you found...not the personal info.

Barman1 Barman1 good catch. Possibly M mr_anderson got scammed by someone other than the seller since he failed to follow the best practices that are clearly billboarded at the very top of the exchange.

But don't you think it might be a better idea to just tell him his email is still public rather than post yet another screenshot of it??

This is not what I expected to see this morning. I did email mr_anderson on 8/7 and never received a response. I assumed he wasn’t interested anymore.

Personal info removed to protect from further damage

Folks, do not post the email addresses and personal data of the victims and innocent parties here. Simply post the facts as you know them to be.

M mr_anderson , it appears you fell prey to the same con game as many other members. Please read and follow the suggested guidelines...there are many ways to insulate yourself from these tactics.

I'm working on it. Yes, I believe I was taken by a scammer, NOT swamphunter2 I paid with paypal, but using a MasterCard for protection. I will be contacting them tomorrow in the morning. Will be fixing the title now.

I didn't even notice I got 2 emails on the same day from 2 different people. Should I post the scammers email/paypal account here? I am so pissed I want to hire Annonymous to find him. I'm like way out of the loop here, haven't really been on much in 9 years, who are the super mods these days? Being ripped off is why I almost left knife collecting 9 years ago, and the first time I try and buy something off the forums, BAM. grr

I know. I'm just a little too trusting sometimes, because I would never even think of doing that to anyone. I don't know, worlds messed up.

Sorry you got scammed.
But you had the money to buy an expensive knife but not a membership.

This is the reason why you need a paid account.
Ability to send a secure PM instead of publicly posting your email and getting scammed.

Is there still a chance you might get scammed or burned with a membership?
Of course... But substantially less.

Fixed income, it takes me time to save up to buy these things. I'm not rich. Can't afford $30 a month when most of the time I don't have the money to buy anything. It's been reported to the bank for fraud, they are pretty good about getting things sorted out.

Just an FYI, The membership is annual, not monthly.

A basic membership, which gets you a small number of DMs is $10 for the year.
