Many of you noticed my lack of presence here over the last 5 days... Here is what I have been up to. I was involved in a 5 day build off on another forum and it finished yesterday AM at about 8 in the AM. My goal was to build something VERY different from my norm. I wanted to build an "ART" knife. This is as close as I have ever come to that idea! I will try and get a WIP thread on this build put together over the next few days.
Thanks for being understanding for my lack of presence. I literally worked for about 20 of the last 24 hours and had to pull and all nighter!!
The Overall length is 19 7/8". The blade length is 12" from the blade tip to the tip of the guard.
The Blade is clay-coated-heat-treated W2 with a mirror polished fuller.
The Guard and Pommel are heat-colored, textured Titanium bolsters over mirror-polished 416 stainless steel, attached with heat-colored screws.
The Handle is stabilized Black Palm.
Here are the pics!!
The knife and the tools used to make it!
Mirror polished Guard
and Mirror polished Butt!!
Mirror polished fuller!
Balance point.... perfect!
A "sword" that would make Zelda PROUD!
LOVE this pic!!
Thanks for looking and being patient while I was busy in the shop. Now back to our normal programing!
