Something I been wanting to tell ya'll....

Dayum!!! Just when I decided I wasn't buying any more knives.................. Depending on how long it takes to get produced...................... I'll be buying one as long as I'm not too old to swing the b**th!

I wonder if it will make me throw my Busse TTKZ in a lake. I have space in my knife garage next to my BK77 for this.

Very cool Moose! Very cool.

Since we are on the topic of it, here's a question for those that attended Blade Show this last year.

In these pics we see Hank's Khukri. The pictures make it seem as if this blade is slightly thicker than the production model Khukri's that were made for BK&T. Can anyone confirm if this one was in fact thicker than the 1/8" or so the production models were?

That does look thicker, not to mention there's not a choil on the one shown..

While 3/16 would be great, I think 1/4" would be awesome.

You don't think 1/4" would make it too heavy? The BK2 weighs a pound, I can't imagine what that would weigh in at. That said, I do like 1/4" blades.

Thia is great news! Any idea on a timeline? I realize you can't be spot on with a date but any info would be great.

Thanks for posting this Moose! I don't have any reason to need one of these, but the want is there for sure!

I think it was decided because kukris are becoming popular and people are responding great to the BK&T stuff. So, I will probably get the "it's ready when its ready" standard response, but any ETA on this? I have also heard that the BK-10, BK-1, and BK-6 are coming out sometime in 2013. I heard the 1 and 16 were going to be produced overseas, though.

You may have a point. I guess it would depend on all the other specs.

I heard the 1 and 6 were going to be produced overseas, though.

I hadn't thought about this. If it's made overseas, it would be a deal breaker for me.

Moose said that the 1 and 6 weren't gonna happen on here a few months ago. I'm pretty pumped about this one. I'll probably have to pick one up when they come out. I wonder what other top secret stuff is going to be released at SHOT.

Do you have a link to that? Because last I saw was in the Ka-Bar ask Toooj Section and Toooj commented on it. What was the reason? I would love a BK-1...that thing is SWEET!

Don't remember what thread it was. I think the reasoning was that they would have to cost quite a bit more than the other full sized Beckers. The 6 uses a lot more steel and the 1 has a ton of grinding to make it.

Oh this totally just made my day, thanks for the info not many companies are allowed to tease us like this :D

wow.. that is freakin great! i've been eyeballing one on thE bay but just can't and won't spend 4 bills.... i hope to God that this one comes through

Deep breaths, fellas.

How much? Who knows.

How thick? Who knows.

To reiterate, the Reinhardt Estate still has to approve the design, before much else can be done.

The original RBK was more "machete" thickness, light, well balanced and made to fight. Hank was alot of things, but a fencer was a big part of what went behind his blades and designs. The old school RBK's are fierce, devastating cutting tools.

I don't see the new ones being worse.

Just breath, relax and wait, there will be more info coming, and now that we can talk about it, I hope more info will be coming sooner, rather than later.

Oh, and the BK1 and BK6 were just not cost effective to make, too much grind time. The RBK should be much easier to grind off, FFG, high saber, wow, the possibilities are staggering.
