Something to hold me over pre Bk16

Yup, I had to do the same, and also got an ESEE:

Since all these ESEE's are being mentioned, can anybody post a comparison picture between the 3/4 and the BK-16 and perhaps the Izula II and the BK-16, in particular a comparative shot of the handle lengths. I have a 3 and find the handle a bit short, but the Izzy II just plain works.

Thanks in advance,

Doc

Bottom to top. Izula, 3, 4, BK16. I still haven't forgotten Doc, soon.

ESEE's all sport a distal taper, making them a pointier point. :D

I am just patiently waiting for the ESEE 4 vs BK16 reviews to start flowin in.

So Rouge, how goes the 4 for you so far?

Love it! The handle really warms up to you and I find it very comfortable, it holds an edge for long as heck and I was SUPER impressed with the factory edge! And the coating, oh my bajeebus!!! If this is how the coating is going to be on the new Beckers then we are really in for a treat. I have chopped and batonned a lot with my ESEE and it has barely worn at all. It took a huge chunk out of my wallet at the time but I am glad I bought it. Now if my FPR BK16 would hurry up and get here! Damn standard shipping!

Sweet ESEE pics flexxx. Yeah I guess this turned into an ESEE thread now. Guess I need to buy another one so I can keep up with my own thread.

Is that your "salad" in the lite machete pic :D

I'm glad you didn't post a pic of the whole 'chete, I've been eyeing it now and then.... not a good time to acquire one however.

Is the BK16 3/16ths thick, same as the ESEE-4? I can't really tell by the pics, but I thought it was thinner than that.
