Something Very Different

Gerry, what is the intended use ?
if end of handle was modified to accept a shaft, one could make it into a spear. i've wanted to try spear hunting deer for some time. in early september the deer here are still in 'lolligag' mode and if you are relaxed, you can get pretty close.

Yeah, I'm sure you'll make a quick, humane kill using a spear.
If that means anything to you.

This one lasted longer than the one at the show did tho ! These things are super cool for some reason, dont even know why but they are.

Focus my friend, hunting ethcis has nothing to do with Gerry's cool new lil rig.

I haven't lost sight of Gerry's cool new lil rig.
But using it as a spear in an attempt to kill deer has everything to do with hunting ethics.
Thanks my friend, but I'd like to think I am focused on what's important.

Good thing PETA wasn't around to see all those poor deer taken by the "noble savages" using bows and spears. Breaks my heart....OK, I'm better now. ;)

Anyway...this little guy is very cool, and I want one. If I had the balls I'd try a humane kill on a feral hog with it!

Mick, maybe you are not a hunter ? Humane kill is all about shot placement regardless of what weapon you use. A well placed broadhead (arrow or spear) will down a deer faster than a chest shot (most common) with a rifle.
I would only attempt a spear shot if i could get really close (10 yards ??).
wouldn't want to loose my new spear if deer took off with the spear dangling because of a poorly placed shot !!

That is very cool. I'll add my interest into purchasing just the spear head if you ever made a batch of them.

I'm well aware of what humane kill & shot placement is all about.
It's precisely my point in using a spear versus a gun or bow.
Ten yards or not, I'd bet the farm you'll lose that spear every time with a poorly placed throw.
Although finding it shouldn't be too difficult when you miss completely.

So I guess all that talk about y'all having big balls in Texas isn't true afterall? :p

Once again gentlemen, I think we are well off topic for a "for sale" thread.

Gerry, keep em' coming!

I love Gerry's work too. First click I make if is name is under the post title.

Just so everyone is clear..........anything that is big in Tx is even bigger on Ak.!!!!!!

I had some things to say about "hunting ethics" too. I've been dealing with the ethics of the human-animal relatiionship all my professional life-43 years now.
I thought better of it and let it go because this is a "for sale" thread not a political discussion. Take it to the right Forum.

Off topic or not, it keeps the thread alive & near the top.
Which likely means more people are seeing this item & may potentially buy it.
So how is that a bad thing for Gerry or anyone else trying to sell here?

A set of 6, half with one handle material or color versus the other half. Perfect outdoor dart set.
