Man, my oldest brother was a big time dead head. He followed them around the country for years.
Shared a school bus with a few other people.
 
Dire Straits "Walk of Life". There's a relatively new song by Bad Company called "Boys Cry Tough". IIRC there is a Twisted Sister song off of Stay Hungry that mentions the " ... edge of a knife". Can't recall the name right this minute.

ETA: The Twisted Sister song is "Burn in
Hell".

Don't know if it qualifies as a "knife", but in the song "Bad Bad Leroy Brown" Jim Croce tells us that Mr Brown carries "a razor in his shoe".
