Johnny Horton's Springtime in Alaska. "I didn't know Lil' was big Ed's wife to be. He took out his knife and he gave it a throw. When it's springtime in Alaska I'll be six feet below."

Steve Earle/Guy Clark/Townes Van Zandt have a song they collaborated on called "Randall Knife". Earle also mentioned a Randall knife in "Taneytown" with the line "There were four of them and I can't fight
but I had my old Randall knife, I cut that boy and I never did look back" then mentions it later in the song as well.

Twisted Sister-Under the Blade

Rebellion's album "Macbeth-A Tragedy in Steel" has several songs(for example-Husbandry in Heaven) making reference to a dudgeon dagger. As they also have 3 albums based on vikings and 1 based on ancient Rome, they have a lot of songs referencing swords as well(Ulfberth being a prime example).

Rusty Weir-Jeremiah Black:"Well my pappy drew his knife, old Jeremiah he took his life" then later on, "But Jeremiah Black found a knife in his back this mornin, somebody told me"

Michael Shane Borden-Sons of San Antone:"And somebody said that Jim Bowie, before he lost his life, shot a couple from his bedside, killed another one with his knife"

Hoyt Axton & /or Steppenwolf
I'll kill him with my Bible, my RAZOR & my gun, God Damn..The Pusher

Deftones -Knife Party

Coheed and Cambria - Mother Superior
"You're sick to the stomach, just pull out the knife..."

Coheed and Cambria - In The Flame Of Error
"I'll be no good
This time defines
I'll put my touch around the grip of this knife
These dirty hands just won't come clean
I'm a murderer, the worst these worlds will see"

Coheed and Cambria - Domino the Destitute
"This warring knife, the flash of its blade"

Blue Oyster Cult's "Black Blade", off the CE album. "And the black blade keeps on killin' to the end of time".

Cool thread! Nice to see Blue Oyster and Black Oak remembered. Especially nice to see Guy Clark remembered as well, really like the Bluebird Cafe version he did with Townes and Steve Earle, one of my top 20 favorite songs of all time.

"Jacknife Johnny" Alice Cooper on From the Inside, 1978.
"Dull Blade" Carlos Del Junco on Steady Movin', 2008.
"Junior Got a Blade" Gwyn Ashton on Two Man Blues Army, 2009.
"Switchblade" Link Wray.
"Knives at the Walls" Liz Durrett on Even Cowgirls Get the Blues, 2007.
"Dirty Knife" Neco Case on Fox Confessor Brings the Flood, 2006.
"Twist the Knife" Neko Case & Her Boyfriends on Furnace Room Lullaby, 2000.
"Jack-knife Gypsy" Paul Siedel, 1971.
One of the songs on the soundtrack to Psycho is called "The Knife". No lyrics, bet you can guess the scene its from.
"A Thousand Knives" Ted Nugent on Cat Scratch Fever, 1977.

Erik

The Rush song, "The Weapon" has a line that goes: "a steely blade in a silken sheath."

From the Album Signals.

Coheed and Cambria - In the Flame of Error "I'll wrap my torture round the grip of this knife"
The Eagles - Hotel California "they stab it with their steely knives but they just can't kill the beast"

Time to Rock some Stones

Rolling Stones: Midnight Rambler ~ "Well, talkin' bout the midnight...the one that closed the bedroom door, I'm called the hit-and-run raper in anger, The knife sharpened tippie-toe..I'll go easy with your cold fandango, I'll stick my knife right down your throat, and it hurts."

Rolling Stones: Let It Bleed ~ "I was dreaming of a steel guitar engagement, when you drunk my health in scented jasmine tea. But you knifed me in my dirty filthy basement; with that jaded, faded junky nurse, Oh what pleasant company."

J Live - Braggin Writes
J Live with the mic is like the chef with the blade
Cause suckers get sliced and sauteed

Some more!

Someone already mentioned Judas Priest's The Sentinel, but there's also this line from The Ripper:"I'm sly and I'm shameless, nocturnal and nameless, except for The Ripper, or if you like, Jack the Knife"

Ray Wiley Hubbard-Wanna Rock and Roll:"The dead man's name was Louis DuPris, I pushed a little button on my knife, walked up to 'em said hello boys and girls, have you enjoyed your lives?"

Savatage-Sammy and Tex:
"Seemed things were going aright...
Till Sammy pulled a knife
If you wanna to cut the cards,
Sammy's gonna up the odds!

Then everything was quiet
A street after the riot
And the silence hung like death
And Tex he wasn't breathing
His body lay there bleeding
A knife inside his chest"

With these the titles speak for themselves:
Twisted Sister-Like a Knife in the Back
Falconer-Jack the Knife
Dream Theater-Raise the Knife
Cirith Ungol-Edge of a Knife
Twisted Tower Dire-The Dagger's Blade

As a metalhead, I could name songs referencing swords all day long, as tons of bands I listen to sing about ancient history and/or fantasy, so I'm trying to limit it to just references to knives specifically. Also, I'm sure Cannibal Corpse mentions knives in some of their material, but I don't like the band so I can't give specifics.

Eminem:

Love the Way You Lie: "And right now there's a steel knife. In my windpipe."
Under the Influence: "Grab a knife at the blade and stab you with the ______' handle"
Backstabber: "I took his butcher knife and jabbed it into..."
Still Don't Give a ____: "I walked into a gunfight with a knife to kill you"
The Warning: "I see Mary Ann. Mary Ann's saying cut the tape, cut the tape. Knife!"

Don't switch the blade on the guy in shades, oh no.......Corey Hart, Sun glasses at night
