Soooo.... What light accompanies your CRK these days?

Carried a newly finished build today- a "recoil thrower" I just put together. Instead of having the emitter mounted in the center of the reflector facing out it hangs down and points into the reflector (like a satellite dish) and the light bounces out, there is zero spill, its 100% hot spot. Very impractical for, well anything really but awesome. At ~70m the spot is ~4"!

(It was not easy to get this pic)

In my biz that type of light is called a "beam projector". The last time I used one was as a spotlight on top of a torm for "The Phantom of the Opera" at the Curran Theater.

Still carrying my quark QP2L-X burst mode but I reflowed a Hcri emitter in it last night, an XM-L2 T3 6A1, 800+ Lm of 3700K 80+cri light. Its a beautiful tint and the color rendering is excellent. This is my first high color rendering Cree, I've used luxeon's and of course Nichia219's in the past (still have several nochia219's in different lights). I finally decided to see how cree did Hcri and they got it right with the XM-L2's.

Already have several other Hcri XM-L2's on order ranging from 3200k to 4700k, going to put them in everything other than my long range throwers.

I've carried a PD20 for years now and I don't see a change any time soon. It has never failed, lasts 60+ hours on low running on a single 123. Very bright on turbo for the size, perfect EDC.
