Anybody else wearing the print off their F5 button on survives webpage? I actually set my alarm for this....sad lol

Yea I know. Been wearing my finger out. Soon as it's up I'll announce it. Well......after I place my own order ofcourse :D
 
Ive been contemplating getting the 4.7 or 4.1 to go with my 5.1 and hold me over until the 4.5 arrives. I'm leaning more toward the 4.1, hopefully luck is on my side.

BTW, didn't Ellie say that she would give notice what sharpened knives where available a day before or so before the Mondays?

This is going to get crazier than the Fiddleback shark tank...

Well, According to the production schedule page she technically gave notice (based on the fact that she updated the page yesterday) that the 5.1s were going to be available to order today.

What do you mean, I've been at the front door since 06:00hrs.

Seriously, I would have but I already have two 5.1s coming that I ordered during the pre-sale. I thought about offering to go and pick them up, as to save on shipping, even get a chance to BS a little, but they are so busy right now. I'm beginning to think that Guy and Ellie just don't know how to take a break and enjoy life once in a while.

I received 3 phone calls in the first 15 minutes of being here this morning. My day:

1: Newsletter detailing Monday ordering
2: Inventory
3: Setup and check product pages
4: List knives

I will give you guys a preview... We weren't able to get any regular GSO-5.1 blades sharpened with the amount of preorders and presale knives taking up our time. There will be some Factory 2nds in stock. Those are knives that made it through sharpening before we noticed the blemish making it a 2nd. The regular GSO-5.1 will definitely be available on the 22nd.

True, good point! I guess I also expected an indication how many blades where ready to ship... But this is more interesting. :)
 
While I'm refreshing the 5.1 page along with everyone else, its not technically to order one. I wisely placed a presale order in December and it is "awaiting shipment", supposedly due to President's Day's no postal service.

I want to see what I'm up against when the 4.7's come up for regular sale. I missed the boat on those and they are the #1 knife I am looking forward to. That deep finger guard built into the handle just calls to me.
Seems like there was a thread where Ellie summed up the order quantities of the models and maybe the 4.7's weren't as high of demand as the 5.1's IIRC.

Being newish here, do you guys thing that between the regular "overstock" and the SK 4.7's that there is a decent chance I can snag one in regular ordering? Or am I comparing apples to oranges with the demand of 5.1 vs 4.7's?
