that's what I did too Riz, I was worried it would be gone by the time i made it through the order process but I agree it is the quickest.
 
Took me longer to cclick which handle, fasteners and sheath I wanted than it did to pay

haha fact, I kept searching for burgandy linen, as that would match her forthcoming 3.5...will have to look for it later, besides I am kind of excited to try a new color out!...I mean my wife...she gets to try it out....def not me....

I was able to pick mine up today on blind luck. I was in a meeting for couple of hours. I walked out of the meeting and clicked on the Survive web site to check the status. I went to the 2nds page and there were the 5.1s. I started filling out the specs and was shocked when the knife dropped into my cart! I started sweating and my hands shaking at that point as a I realized this is actually happening! It was like Buck fever as I thought just don't screw this up and click something wrong and lose everything. :D

Just happened to be in the right place and at the right time today to get the 5.1, which I had serious doubts I'd ever get, to go with my 4.1.

I had an early Survive that I let go and have regretted it ever since. I was finally able to take another plunge today. I'm back!
 
Thank you guys for snagging those 5.1s. I was so tempted to get the 2nd as a user so I don't have to touch the other 5.1 I will be getting from the pre-sale. I went in a bit too late and it's all gone. Well? I just saved some money for a 4.5.
 
I had a hard time finding a flaw in my last factory 2cd, and these are supposed to be extra nice 2cds according to the website.
 
I agree. Ellie said they didn't even notice they were seconds until after Guy sharpened them. I'm curious to see what the issues are.
 
Me too. I am curious to see what the issue are that made them seconds. Could it be some small and unnoticeable blemish on the blades?
 
Knowing how much of a prefectionist Guy is , I'm sure we would all have a hard time finding the flaws. Ellie stated they made it through a few times before they even noticed anything. Either way I finally got one so I'm happy flaws or not.
