Sorry honey, but while you were sleeping....

okay, i have to say that i'm so sick of seeing or hearing the word 'humane' when dealing with animals. it's an animal. it's not a human. i don't like to kill things unnecessarily either, but they aren't humans. personally, i would have tried to catch it or chase it outside, but that's me. i don't think it's a big deal for someone else to take care of a pest how they see fit. i'd say those are some impressive shots with a difficult weapon to master, and against a quick and agile target. quite sporty if you ask me. maybe you would be happier if he used a junglas?

I think there would have been more blood and pissed off folks if he would have used a Junglas.

Those messes are easy enough to clean up, but the Junglas idea might've been a little messy.

EDIT : ^

the only problem with the junglas is collateral damage to the floor

My first thought was the hardwood floor! The wife would NOT be happy. I don't care what you hunt in my house, just don't ruin my floors. That gives me a thought..............I'd like to replace the floor in the kitchen. I need to hunt something w/ the junglas. Here doggy, doggy.

How much blood do you think a mouse has?

The average blood volume for a laboratory mouse is ~6-8% of total body weight.

This was almost instant death, and there was still some blood, the fact there wasn't any blood on the floor suggest it was also pretty much instant.

Puncture wounds don't bleed if the implement is left in. The mouse didn't bleed because the skin around the needles sealed the wound. The mouse could have been alive for all the shots and not bled a drop.

Ever notice how you don't bleed around intravenous injections, or when a canula is in place? Same principle.

ETA: I had surgery a month ago, I had an IV in my left arm and a canula in my right hand. I didn't bleed a drop around those punctures and I can promise you I was very much alive at the time.

Yeah, I use to do those deals where you shove a rod through your arm and pull cars. Never bled a drop when you took the rods out.

You see the blood in both pics, mine and the op's. Well I didn't remove the bb, and the op hasn't seemed to of removed the darts, so I'm going under the assumption that puncture wounds do in fact bleed.

Sad part is, I know you pretty well and I wouldn't be all too surprised if you were serious.
