Banned Bladeforums member Mountains of Alaska, or gprippers (or about 12 other names he has been banned under) is trying to sell some of the SOUL knives on another forum. He is not calling them SOUL knives so people won't call him out on it but that is what they are.

First off he shouldn't be selling them as that is what the agreement was when he purchased them.

Secondly he is trying to pull in unsuspecting individuals by listing them as "Area 51" Busse knives.

Thirdly, in my opinion I would never buy anything from him as he has trolled this forum in the past with his garbage and he only tries to "make up" with the Busse family when it puts money in his pocket.

Lastly, please don't go to other forums looking for trouble with him. If they want him on their forum that is fine. We don't want him here, nor do we want to start a cross-forum war with another forum.

In my personal opinion I would just ignore him and his sales, but everyone has to make up their own mind if they want to deal with someone that has shown their true colors.

If it's such a touchy subject that we can't even mention it, why does it not bother anyone that there is a writeup about in on Bad Mojo.

Who runs that site and if the guy is a HOG (probably is?) why is it okay for him to keep that info out in the open, but if anyone asks here, everyone says not to even say the name of the knife?

I'm having trouble reconciling these conflicting messages. I know Jerry has old threads that discuss or reference the knife. If the mere mention of it is sacrilegious here on BF (while mention of it elsewhere is seemingly A-OK) why are those posts out in the open for anyone to search and read?

I have no problem with keeping the Soul knives hush hush, I managed to get about as much information as was needed to satiate my curiosity without drawing attention to the fact they exist. So I don't start threads and I try to respect the Boss and the old hog's wishes to be discreet.

I just don't understand why the information that's already out there, such as it is, is allowed to exist and remain while any new inquiries are stomped down with angry hooves?

I don't think anyone is "stomping" down inquiries with angry hooves. I think most of that is in jest. There was never any stipulation that they can't be discussed, just not pictured, admitting to owning one, sold, described IIRC etc.

The knives exist, I just don't think anyone feels comfortable discussing them as they don't want to accidentally give any info out that Jerry may have wanted to keep among those lucky enough to get them.

I understand all the yada yada, but we have to assume out of 31 guys, SOMEONE would sell one (or more) within the last SIX YEARS.

Eric Isaacson's right, a lot of this is HOG fun, but... there are certain things that can't be discussed, and no pix (or vids!), so most don't want to accidentally give up info that Jerry has asked the owners to withhold. BadMojo has info, but no pix as requested.

No pix!! ...As I understand it, all sales must be pre-approved in private by Jerry. The new owners must follow the original rules concerning these.
