In addition to what Eric has to say on the matter, the info on BadMojo was, as I recall, quoted from what Jerry posted on here about them. Whatever Jerry wants to share is up to him, if he makes it public knowledge and someone quotes it, I don't see an issue.

The Soul(s) are pretty cool blades, but I wouldn't consider them a "GRAIL" knife. I'd rather have a INFI SHBA! :thumbup::)
 
whatever they are, I'm sure I'd prefer a custom ordered piece over it any day of the week.

even so, I wish I had enough money to take them all off the open market and make the disappear like they should have the first go round.
 
Has the idea of passing your soul on to say a loved one been addressed or is it implied that said owners be buried with it?? just food for my thoughts...like kobiyashi numnumnumnumnum!!!:D

I have pics of the SOUL-1 I owned for a short period...quite frankly you cant afford the price (in INFI or cash) for me to post them.

Banned Bladeforums member Mountains of Alaska, or gprippers (or about 12 other names he has been banned under) is trying to sell some of the SOUL knives on another forum. He is not calling them SOUL knives so people won't call him out on it but that is what they are.

First off he shouldn't be selling them as that is what the agreement was when he purchased them.

Secondly he is trying to pull in unsuspecting individuals by listing them as "Area 51" Busse knives.

Thirdly, in my opinion I would never buy anything from him as he has trolled this forum in the past with his garbage and he only tries to "make up" with the Busse family when it puts money in his pocket.

Lastly, please don't go to other forums looking for trouble with him. If they want him on their forum that is fine. We don't want him here, nor do we want to start a cross-forum war with another forum.

In my personal opinion I would just ignore him and his sales, but everyone has to make up their own mind if they want to deal with someone that has shown their true colors.

I keep trying to adopt him out, got a nice cardboard box and everything, but no one seems to want it. ;) Its not that we dont want him, he just keeps puddling on the new carpet. One mess on my boots and he's outta there! :p

Like Eric says, cross forum messes arent tolerated there, I'll make sure the troublemaker is publicly humiliated, duct taped to a tree nekked, and banned for life from there.

Believe me, its being worked on, fussed about, and the inevitable will happen. He broke the rules here, I honestly dont think he has changed his ways. The owner of the other place lets people make their own bed and not judge by what happens elsewhere, some behave and become contributing members, others just keep on the same destructive track.
 
I have to admit, I got curious and went "Google"ing. I went only to observe, not make contact or remonstrate him for his misbehavior. Found our subject's thread which raises a few questions.
1) Subject states that he has 3 & "an extra HOG version". Is he the Satan of Busse, once a favorite but fallen from grace? How else would he have 4 of 31, (including the HOG version)? Did Jerry sell him 4 or did he get one or more from others that ignored Jerry's edicts concerning the apocryphal blade? The subject states that the EXTRA has been sold, so obviously he's not abiding by the rules, as far as we know. The original post by Jerry states that they are not to be resold but later posts admit the possibility of resale with permission. AFAIK, they are still not to be displayed or photographed.
2) To my very limited knowledge, the subject does not show the blades in question, although a couple of group shots reveal two knives with tan SF pommels and tan (possibly one w/ snake?) slabs, blades sheathed in tactical cardboard. The blades in question? I am not one of the anointed few so they could be Proto Recurved Fighters or Proto SF Fighters for all that I know. The odd thing is that the photos from Blade & Blade West '03 show those with HR, not SF, style pommels and the only SFNO that he's touting is one NMSFNO. Subject's group photos does show 4 of the 3B2s.
3) Since very few know what the knife in question, (TKIQ), actually looks like, and those who do will apparently not deal with the subject, is he scamming folks by selling other blades as TKIQs? From what's being said by the old guard, sounds unlikely, but a possibility none the less.
4) Is it possible that we are all being tweaked by the subject, who might be selling something other than what we think or assume they are? Using a code reference guaranteed to pique our interest and ire?
5) If it's such a big deal, why doesn't Jerry, either directly or through the use of proxies, buy up the blades to get them out of circulation? Granted that he should not have to, but not everyone is of honorable intent or action, or remains that way forever.
Rhetorical questions, all and with that, a good night.

Re-read Eric Isaacson's post. (Post #16) What he states is fact. I think that he put the whole situation rather succinctly. As for what Jerry is doing about it... Well, I'd imagine that this is between The Boss, and the person who is trying to sell them in violation to the conditions set forth in the original offering.
